Avraham Chaim Friedman (Avromi), a SHEKEL housing and employment programs participant, is making history as the first person with a disability to join the Knesset Guard!

In a moving ceremony at Israel’s Knesset (parliament), Avromi was awarded the rank of Staff Sergeant and officially joined the Knesset Guard Canine Unit. Paving the way to his current position, Avromi previously completed his IDF voluntary service as part of the canine Oketz unit.
