As Purim began, SHEKEL participants in Bat Yam sat outside the SHEKEL center and got to work, singing, playing musical instruments and delighting passers-by.
Neighbors arrived to celebrate with them. Drivers stopped their cars and joined in the singing. A great collaboration with a neighboring school resulted in the school children passing by the center in a Purim parade while singing and mingling with the SHEKEL participants. Bat Yam residents got to mingle with people with disabilities, celebrating Purim festivities together, while SHEKEL participants experienced being a true part of the Bat Yam community.
